Only school from Pac-12 named as an Easton All-Academic Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Utah Softball was the only team from the Pac-12 Conference recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches of America as an Easton All-Academic Team.
Meanwhile, the Utes had eight student-athletes recognized as Easton/NFCA Division 1 Scholar Athletes, second-most of any school in the Pac-12. Graduated seniors Kayce Nieto and Kristen Stewart were selected along with current seniors Bridget Castro, Hannah Flippen, Kay Kay Fronda, junior Katie Donovan and sophomores Ally Dickman and Maddie Roth.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across seven membership divisions. NCAA Division I, with 1,240 honorees, had the most student-athletes with a 3.5 grade point average or higher.Â
