"We have been working really hard since the beginning of the school year, and this is a long time coming. The athletes are very focused on their goals and it has been exciting to watch them progress," head coach Scott Houle said. "They are very competitive and they definitely work hard for each other, across all event groups. This is a great opportunity, and we are a total track and field team, and we will represent Utah Valley really well."
The men's track and field team will look to defend their 2015 WAC Indoor Track and Field title, despite being selected to finish in second place in the pre-championship poll, with one first place vote. The Utah Valley women were also picked to finish second by the coaches with three first place votes. Grand Canyon was voted first place in both categories. The Antelopes are the reigning women's WAC Champions.
Results and updates from the meet will be posted on WolverineGreen.com as they become available, and a link to the live results is also available. Ticketing information and the WAC Championship Central are available on WACSports.com.
