SALT LAKE CITY—Utah placed second among the nation's gymnastics teams for team GPA in 2016, compiling a 3.7715 GPA. Utah was the only team that had 100-percent of its members awarded Scholastic All-American honors by the National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).

It is Utah's second-straight runner-up finish in the national gymnastics scholastic standings. Utah has finished in the top five for the past five years, including a first-place finish in 2014.

Utah had the best GPA of any team that qualified into the 2016 NCAA Championships and the best by a Pac-12 team. Utah (No. 2) and Alabama (No. 9) were the only two NCAA qualifiers in the NACGC scholastic top 12.

Earning NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors for Utah in 2016 were Breanna Hughes (4.00), Sabrina Schwab (4.00), Shannon McNatt (4.00), Kailah Delaney (3.87), Maddy Stover (3.86), Erika Muhaw (3.78), Kassandra Lopez (3.73), Baely Rowe (3.73), Samantha Partyka (3.72), Kari Lee (3.68), Tiffani Lewis (3.65) and MaKenna Merrell (3.59).
