SALT LAKE CITY—Utah placed second among the nation's gymnastics teams for team GPA in 2016, compiling a 3.7715 GPA. Utah was the only team that had 100-percent of its members awarded Scholastic All-American honors by the National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).

It is Utah's second-straight runner-up finish in the national gymnastics scholastic standings. Utah has finished in the top five for the past five years, including a first-place finish in 2014.

Utah had the best GPA of any team that qualified into the 2016 NCAA Championships and the best by a Pac-12 team. Utah (No. 2) and Alabama (No. 9) were the only two NCAA qualifiers in the NACGC scholastic top 12.
