SAN FRANCISCO—After winning the all-around and three individual event titles in Utah's win over No. 7 Michigan last Saturday, Utah freshman MyKayla Skinner was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week and Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.

It marks the first time in Utah's six years in the Pac-12 Conference that a Ute freshman has won Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honors. Skinner is just the second Ute to be honored as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week in her first collegiate meet. The other was Sabrina Schwab last year.

Skinner's 39.550 all-around score in the season-opener was the fourth-best all-around score in the nation and the best in the Pac-12. She is also ranked in the top-10 nationally on the three events she won with 9.90 scores on vault, bars and floor. She placed second on beam with a 9.85.
