SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's tennis will host two ranked opponents in a difficult weekend of Pac-12 Conference matches. The Utes face No. 5 Stanford on Mar. 31 at 1:30 p.m. followed by No. 12 California on Apr. 2 at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Eccles Tennis Center.

Utah notes
Last time out, the Utes (7-4, 2-2 Pac-12) capped off a weekend at home with a pair of victories over Washington State, 4-3, and Weber State, 7-0 in a Sunday doubleheader. After a difficult loss to Washington, 0-4, the Utes are 2-2 in Pac-12 Conference play before facing Stanford and California this weekend.

The No. 5 Stanford Cardinal (12-1, 4-0 Pac-12) has had a strong spring season with their only loss coming against the No. 1 Florida Gators on the road, 1-4. They have recorded wins over multiple ranked teams, including No. 7 Vanderbilt, 4-3, No. 31 Texas, 4-2 at home. They have also defeated No. 28 UCLA, 4-3, No. 21 USC, 4-0, and No. 45 Arizona State to help the Cardinal to their 4-0 conference record. Last time out, the Cardinal defeated Hawaii at home, 4-0.
California
The No. 12 California Golden Bears (9-3, 3-1 Pac-12) have also had a solid spring, with home wins over UCLA, 6-1, USC, 6-1, Arizona, 6-1, and Arizona State, 7-0. The Golden Bears dropped difficult matches to No. 2 North Carolina and No. 5 Oklahoma State both by a score of 2-4 at the ITA National Women's Indoor Championships in February. The Golden Bears face Colorado on the road on Mar. 31 before coming to Utah.
