Utes to host Stanford and Cal in weekend matchups

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's tennis will host two ranked opponents in a difficult weekend of Pac-12 Conference matches. The Utes face No. 5 Stanford on Mar. 31 at 1:30 p.m. followed by No. 12 California on Apr. 2 at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Eccles Tennis Center.

Last time out, the Utes (7-4, 2-2 Pac-12) capped off a weekend at home with a pair of victories over Washington State, 4-3, and Weber State, 7-0 in a Sunday doubleheader. After a difficult loss to Washington, 0-4, the Utes are 2-2 in Pac-12 Conference play before facing Stanford and California this weekend.

The No. 5 Stanford Cardinal (12-1, 4-0 Pac-12) has had a strong spring season with their only loss coming against the No. 1 Florida Gators on the road, 1-4.
