Next Stop: NCAA Championships
Utah is headed to the 2017 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships on Apr. 14-15 in St. Louis, Mo. (Chaifetz Arena). The Utes will open NCAA Championship competition in Semifinal I on Friday, Apr. 14 at noon Central time/11 a.m. MT on ESPN2. The second session starts at 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT on ESPNU. The top three teams from each semifinal will advance to the Super Six on Saturday, Apr. 15 at 8 p.m. CT/7 p.m. MT on ESPNU. All three meets will also be streamed live on ESPN3, which will show every routine on every event. The ESPN announce team is Bart Conner (play-by-play), Kathy Johnson Clarke (analyst) and Laura Rutledge (reporter).
Semifinal Match-ups
Competing with No. 4 Utah in the first semifinal on Apr. 14 are No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 6 UCLA, No. 7 Denver, No. 11 Washington and No. 12 Oregon State. The evening session includes No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Florida, No. 5 Michigan, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Georgia and No. 10 Nebraska. The all-around and individual event champions will be determined on the first day of competition.
The Streak Goes On
Utah, which is making a record 42nd-consecutive national championship appearance, is the only school to qualify for all 36 NCAA Championships. This season marks the second time the co-coaching tandem of
Megan Marsden and
Tom Farden has taken their team to the NCAA Championship. Greg Marsden, the program's founding coach back in 1975-76, took the Utes to the national championship all 40 years he headed the program before his retirement, which came on the heels of Utah's runner-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Championship.

Utah is the 2017 Pac-12 champion and NCAA Fayetteville Regional champion. Utah's Pac-12 title was its third in four years. The Utes have now won half of the Pac-12 championships in their first six years in the conference … Utah is 22-2 overall with its two losses coming on the road at Oregon State (Feb. 11) and Georgia (Mar. 11) … Utah has faced every team in NCAA Semifinal I with the exception of Oklahoma. In her first collegiate season, 2016 USA Olympic alternate
MyKayla Skinner has won 40 individual titles, including the all-around, vault and floor championships at both the Pac-12 Championship and the NCAA Regional. The freshman, who is ranked No. 2 in the nation in the all-around and is tied for first on floor, has gone all-around in every meet—winning 11 of 12 all-around and vault competitions and 10 floor titles. Skinner's 11 all-around victories gives her a share of the school single-season record with Ashley Postell (2008) and her 40 total wins ranks third all-time at Utah. Skinner is the most decorated Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week and Freshman of the Week of all time, winning seven Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honors (shattering the previous record of four) and six Freshman of the Year citations.

Utah's 2017 all-sport women's attendance title is its seventh all time and fourth in a row.
