INDIANAPOLIS—Utah All-America gymnast
Maddy Stover was one of 10 Pac-12 student-athletes invited by the NCAA to attend the Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, June 1-4. She will be among 230 current student-athletes representing 73 conferences at the forum.

A junior co-captain for Utah's 2017 Pac-12 Championship team, Stover is the president of Utah's Crimson Council—a student-athlete advisory committee. The Fullerton, Calif., native and two-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection helped Utah place fifth at the 2017 NCAA Championships. She is majoring in communication.

College athletes who expressed an interest in pursuing a career in sports, and who were viewed as leaders on their campus, were invited to apply to attend the forum after a nomination by athletics administrators at their respective schools. The selection committee was comprised of administrators and coaches within the NCAA.

The Career in Sports Forum provides college athletes with a broader scope of the career tracks available within the sports business, with the primary focus on college athletics. The forum provides student-athletes interactive experiences with successful individuals in the sports business and a peek into their day-to-day duties and responsibilities.

Forum attendees will hear from various keynote speakers and panelists and will also learn best practices for gaining employment and gathering a better understanding of what future expectations will be once they get a job in sports.
