Utah Vault Notes: Missy Reinstadtler had great height and distance.
Deduction was for a step on her landing.
Kari Lee's vault was amazing. Stuck it cold too. I'm guessing
her tenth deduction was she didn't have the distance Missy did.
Tiff stuck her vault but piked down a bit on it.
Kim Tessen had a huge vault and was great in the air.
She got hit hard for a hop on her landing on her j10.0 valued vault.
MaKenna Merrell-Giles had a perfect looking vault. It was amazing
and she stuck the landing cold.
Nice vault by
MyKayla Skinner. Small step on the landing cost her a
tenth.
Utah Bar Notes: Huge release move and stuck landing for
Tiffani Lewis.
Deductions came on two handstands that were a bit short.
I asked Jen for deductions on
MaKenna Merrell-Giles and she
said "flexed feet on her Tkachev. So there you have it.
Also a nice routine by
Missy Reinstadtler that recieved a 9.90
from one judge. I think she maybe didn't get one handstand quite
straight.
Kim Tessen really flowed through that routine. She had a small
step on her dismount.
Kari Lee's routine was a beauty. Since I didn't see a tenth mistake
I'm going to guess she was a little short on her first handstand.
Stuck the dismount.
MyKayla Skinner won't win bars for the first time this year after
she casted over a bit on the low bar and had a small step
on her dismount.
Â
Utah Beam Notes: Hands down
Maddy Stover's best routine this season.
I personally saw it as more like a 9.95 because I didn't see anything wrong
with it. She walked through that one.
Absolutely stunning routine by
MaKenna Merrell-Giles. She made that beam
look four feet wide. Again, I did not see a single deduction. It was a beauty
from start to finish.
Alexia Burch just had her best routine on any event ever in her first
season as a Ute. Like Stover and MMG before her, she looked pretty
much flawless on the beam. Her deduction was she just barely couldn't hold her
stick on the dismount.
Kari Lee finished her best meet this season with a killer beam routine. She
had total command from start to stick.
Missy Reinstadlter was near perfect on all the leaps and flips, but almost
got caught up in a spin and had a balance check. Overall a nice routine
though.
MyKayla Skinner also got caught up on a spin, needing a balance check,
and she had a step on her double back dismount. All flips and landings
on the beam were spot on.
Utah Floor Notes: Tifffani Lewis had a beautiful floor routine; don't let the
score deceive you. Perhaps she didn't benefit from being first up.
Floor scores are very tight.
Macey Roberts hits her routine cleanly,
leaps tumbling all good.
Absolutely a beautiful routine by
Missy Reinstadtler. Stuck every tumbling
pass, great leaps and dance. I can't figure out where deductions are
coming from.
One judge saw
Sydney Soloski's incredible routine the same way I did with
a 9.95. Hit her double layout and all other elements cleanly. Great routine.
MaKenna Merrell-Giles cemented her rise to superstar status with that
great floor routine. She was having a blast too, smiling throughout it.
MyKayla Skinner put on a show again and was rewarded with one 9.95.
The other gave a 9.85, perhaps because she slid a bit landing her
double double, which was otherwise perfect.
