SAN FRANCISCO—The No. 4 ranked Utah gymnastics team placed nine student-athletes on the 2018 Pac-12 Gymnastics All-Academic teams announced today by the conference office.

Named to the first team were junior
Shannon McNatt (4.00 GPA with a double major in honors business economics and analytics, and quantitative analysis of markets and organizations), senior
Maddy Stover (3.85 GPA in communication) and sophomore
MyKayla Skinner (3.82 GPA in communication). Sophomore
Missy Reinstadtler (3.84 GPA in biology) made the second team.

Stover is a three-time first team Pac-12 All-Academic selection while McNatt has made the first team twice. Skinner and Reinstadtler are in their first year eligible for the award, which is not open to freshmen.

Earning honorable mention 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic recognition were senior
Tiffani Lewis, junior
Kari Lee, junior
MaKenna Merrell-Giles, junior
Macey Roberts and sophomore
Kim Tessen.

Lewis and Lee are both three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selections with Lewis making the second team as a sophomore and junior, while Lee was first team in 2016 as a redshirt sophomore and honorable mention last year. Merrell-Giles is an honorable mention selection for the second straight year and Roberts and Tessen appear for the first time.

To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.0 grade point cumulative average, have completed a year of residency at the school and have participated in 50-percent of the regular-season competitions. McNatt was granted an exemption to the 50-percent competition requirement since she was in the starting lineup prior to an injury.
