ST. LOUIS—By winning the regional title last Saturday, the Utah gymnastics program punched its ticket to a record 43rd-consecutive national championship. Utah—the only program to qualify for all 37 NCAA Championships—will compete in the evening semifinal on Friday, Apr. 20 in St. Louis, Mo.
Â
On Utah's side of the NCAA semifinal bracket at 6 p.m. CT/5 p.m. MT on ESPNU are two-time defending NCAA champion and top-ranked Oklahoma, Florida, Kentucky, Washington and California. Teams in the Apr. 20 afternoon semifinal, starting at noon CT/11 a.m. MT on ESPN2 are LSU, Nebraska, Alabama, Georgia, UCLA and Arkansas.
Â
The top three teams from each of the two semifinals will advance to the Super Six on Saturday, Apr. 21 at 6 pm. CT/5 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
Â
Highlighting Utah's semifinal are the country's top three-ranked all-arounders: Oklahoma's Maggie Nichols, Utah's
MyKayla Skinner and Stanford's Elizabeth Price. Price, competing as an at-large all-arounder, will be rotating with the Utes. Skinner placed second in the all-around as a freshman last year's NCAA Championship and was the co-NCAA champion on floor.

Skinner and Ute junior
MaKenna Merrell-Giles were named 2018 regular season All-Americans: Skinner made the first team in the all-around, vault, floor and bars and was second team on beam, while Merrell-Giles was first team in the all-around, vault and floor. Skinner enters the NCAA Championships as a 13-time All-American and Merrell-Giles has six career All-America awards.
Â
Utah, which finished the regular season ranked No. 4, enters the championships with a No. 5 National Qualifying Score. The Utes are 20-4 overall.
Â
Utah has qualified into the Super Six 20 times since the format began back in 1993, including a fifth-place finish last year.
Â
The Utes will leave for St. Louis next Wednesday and attend the championships banquet that night. Utah will practice in Chaifetz Arena on Thursday, Apr. 19 from 3:30-5:20 p.m. Utah drew the Olympic rotation for competition: vault, bye, bars, beam, bye, floor.
