SALT LAKE CITY - After a successful weekend against BYU, Utah Diving takes on another old rival when it travels to Colorado Springs for the Air Force Diving Invitational. Action begins at 10 a.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
"We are excited to wrap up our regular season at Air Force," head diving coach
Richard Marschner said. "It is a pool and competition where we have traditionally done very well and our divers enjoy the setting. We are looking forward to some strong scores at this meet as we build to Pac-12 Championships and NCAA Regionals."
The Utes will take a seven-person contingent consisting of
Rylan Little,
Daniel Theriault and
Tony Chen, along with
Georgia Brookstein,
Makenzie Caufield,
Clare Greenlow and
Emma Ruchala. The two-day event consists of three-meter and platform diving only.
Last weekend in the Deseret First Duel, sophomores Ruchala and Greenlow took the top two spots in both the one-meter and three-meter events. On the men's side, Chen, in just his second NCAA meet, placed second in the one-meter before capturing the three-meter dive on Saturday. Little also earned a runner-up spot for the Utes in the one-meter.
