SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Utah Men's Swim and Dive dropped a dual meet this afternoon at UC Santa Barbara, 150.5-111.5
Utah started well with a win in the 200 medley relay thanks to
David Fridlander,
Andrew Britton, Cooper deRyk and
Liam O'Haimhirgin.
Britton also won the 100 breast (56.45) while O'Haimhirgin was the runner-up in the 100 (45.56) and 200 (1:40.86) free events. Fridlander also took second in two events, the 100 (50.38) and 200 (1:52.89) back while deRyk was third in the 50 free (20.91)
Ben Waterman won the 100 fly for the second-straight week, turning in a time of 49.06, and captured the 200 fly in 1:51.38.
Tyler Klawiter also earned a pair of runner-up finishes for the Utes, clocking a 4:31.35 in the 500 free and 9:28.71 in the 1000 free.
Jaek Horner earned his first win as a Ute, taking the 200 breast in 2:03.42. He also finished third in the 200 IM (1:55.46)
The Utes are back in action on Fri., Oct. 25 when they host Arizona State at 2 p.m. MT. The Utah women's team will also be competing against the Sun Devils at the same time
