LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Utah women's tennis team has wrapped up day three of competition at the ITA Regional Championships, highlighted by

Friday's action included the round of 16 and quarterfinal round of doubles, quarterfinal round of singles, and consolation singles at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Starting the day off with the round of 16 doubles, the sixth-seeded Hekking and Tattini knocked off Utah State's Lombera and Millan, 8-3, to advance to the quarterfinal round.
Lindsay Hung and
Madeline Lamoreaux faced off against Palermo and Grijalva from Colorado State and continued Utah's doubles success, coming out on top with an 8-6 victory to advance to the quarterfinal round.
Now in the quarterfinals, Hekking and Tattini then played against Tomasetti and Haakansson from Northern Arizona and continued to excel as a duo, beating out NAU's pair 8-3 to advance to the semifinal round. Hung and Lamoreaux were matched up against Northern Arizona's Sosknowska and Bland and came up just short, 5-8, to end the duo's run in the doubles bracket.
Later in the day in the quarterfinal round of singles, fifth-seeded Tattini matched up against Camille Verdon Anderson from Denver, coming away with a quick 6-2, 6-1 victory, to advance to the semifinal round of the main draw. Tattini will now have a pair of semifinal matches on tap for Saturday beginning with the doubles match with Hung, followed by her semifinal singles match.
Lamoreaux faced off against New Mexico's Alisia Manolescu for her quarterfinal matchup and tallied a quick 6-0 win in the first set. Despite rolling in the first set, Manolescu caught momentum and Lamoreaux fell 3-6, 4-6, in the final two sets to drop the match.
