SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Diving will host its annual invitational this weekend with USC, Air Force, and BYU in attendance. Competition begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening and continues on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Utah Swimming is sending seven student-athletes to the Minnesota Invitational on Sunday in Minneapolis
Last Time Out
Last weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational,
Tony Chen placed fourth in the 1m (322.45) and second in the 3m (365.25) against some of the strongest competition in the nation.
Luke McDivitt was back in action on the platform, taking third (306.80).
The women were equally impressive. Freshman standout
Lizzy DeCecco placed sixth on the platform (227.65) and fourth in the 1m.
"We had a strong meet at Georgia Tech and it will be nice to be at our own pool in our own time zone competing," diving coach
Richard Marschner said. "We have been working on several new dives to put into our lists so we could be debuting them this weekend. This meet will really dictate what we need to work on over the next month so we can be fully tuned in for the second half of the season in January."
