OFF THE TEE
The Utah men's golf team will continue spring play at The Prestige this Monday, Feb. 18, in La Quinta, Calif. The three-day event, hosted by UC Davis, will take place at PGA West with competition played on the Greg Norman Course.
THE FIELD
Utah is set to compete in a very competitive field of 15 teams, as four teams are ranked in the top-20 nationally, while eight are ranked in the top-50 according to GolfWeek.com. The field for The Prestige is: No. 18 Arkansas, East Tennessee State, Iowa State, No. 17 LSU, Northwestern, Notre Dame, No. 1 Oklahoma State, Oregon, No. 13 Pepperdine, San Diego State, Stanford, UC Davis, UCLA, Utah, and University of Stirling (Scotland).
UTAH'S LINE-UP
The Utes' five-man team for The Prestige is: senior
Kyler Dunkle, sophomore
Blake Tomlinson, junior
Mitchell Schow, sophomore
Tristan Mandur, and freshman
Axel Einarsson.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Golfers will play 18 holes per day and will begin each round with tee times off the No.1 and No. 10 tees. Tee times will begin each day at 7:30 a.m. PT with the rest to follow. Live scoring for The Prestige can be found at

ENJOYING EAGLES
In Utah's spring opener, they finished first in the event with five eagles. Dunkle and Schow both sank two eagles, while Tomlinson added one during the first round at the Amer Ari Invitational.
Utah has recorded 13 eagles throughout the season which ranks sixth in the nation.
Mitchell Schow is currently second in the nation with six eagles on the year, while teammates
Kyler Dunkle and
Axel Einarsson are tied for 12th in the nation with four eagles.
TAP-INS
Dunkle has shot par or better in 11-of-18 rounds this year and has recorded six straight going back to the final tournament of the fall, the Saint Mary's Invitational. Dunkle ranks 33
rd in the nation for subpar strokes per round at 4.61 strokes. With Dunkle leading the charge for Utah, the Utes as a team rank 35
th in the nation at 3.61 strokes under par per round.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah escaped the cold Utah winter and opened their spring schedule in Hawaii at the Amer Ari Invitational this past weekend. The Utes had a great opening round, but dropped in the overall standings after the second round of play. Utah then closed out the event strong, moving up three places on the final day to finish 10
th overall with a three-day score of 3-under par (861) in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
Dunkle picked up right where he left off in the spring and notched three straight rounds at par or better to lead the Utes. Dunkle finished the event tied for 22
nd place with a 54-hole score of 5-under par (211). Schow also had a nice opening event finishing under par for the second time this year, posting a three-round score of 2-under par (214) to finish tied for 37
th.
Away from the Utes in Hawaii, two Utes also competed as individuals at the Pat Hicks Invite in St. George this past Monday and Tuesday.
Colton Tanner finished the 36-hole event 8-over par (152) and
Peyton Hastings shot 12-over par (156). Tanner placed tied for 32
nd overall and Hastings finished tied for 48
th.
UP NEXT
The Utah men's golf team will be back in action Sunday, March 10, when the Utes head to the Pacific Northwest to compete at the Bandon Dunes Championship. The three-day event will be held at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort with the tournament to be played on the Old MacDonald Course.
