This Week in Utah Gymnastics
The No. 4 ranked Utah gymnasts (9-1, 5-0 Pac-12) host No. 2 UCLA (9-0, 5-0 Pac-12) in the #GetWiggyWithUs Red Out meet on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Tickets are available at UtahTickets.com and 801-581-UTIX. The meet will be aired on the Pac-12 Networks and ESPN 700 radio.

Wig Out at the Red Out
As part of the Red Out promotion and to raise funds for the Dumke Gymnastics Center expansion, fans are encouraged to wear red wigs to Saturday's meet against UCLA. The first 500 students will receive free red wigs courtesy of America First Credit Union. Wigs may be purchased online (http://tinyurl.com/yyzvhr3w) or at Red Zone locations on campus, as well as in the Sandy store and at URedZone.com. All proceeds from the sale of the wigs will go toward the Dumke Gymnastics Center expansion fund … Red flags will be distributed to the first 2,000 fans in attendance … Doors and the Kid Zone open at noon. The Kid Zone features a face painter, balloon artist, life-size Swoop Bobblehead, poster making station and more.

In the Rankings
Utah is No. 4 for the sixth straight week in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) rankings, which are based on total season average for the last time this season. Next Monday, the rankings will move to regional qualifying score. The Utes are No. 2 in the nation on vault, No. 4 on floor, No. 7 on bars and No. 7 on beam.
MyKayla Skinner is No. 2 on vault, No. 5 in the all-around, No. 8 (tie) on bars and No. 10 on floor.
MaKenna Merrell-Giles is No. 6 (tie) on vault, No. 13 in the all-around and No. 17 (tie) on floor.
Macey Roberts is tied for 17th on vault, while
Kari Lee is No. 22 on beam. Injured
Cristal Isa, currently No. 21 (tie) on bars and No. 23 (tie) on beam, will drop out next week when the rankings move to RQS See sidebar on page 2 for Utah's complete national rankings.

Red Hot Rivalry
Utah and UCLA have combined to win six of the seven Pac-12 Championships to date. Utah won conference titles in 2014, 2015 and 2017, while UCLA's titles came in 2012, 2016 and 2018 … Utah's

Kari Lee, whose four wins on beam and No. 22 national ranking lead the Utes, moved from fourth to first in the lineup at Stanford to assure a good start. It was the first time in her career that Lee led off on beam. She has started on the event since her freshman season when she earned second-team All-America honors …
MyKayla Skinner has competed on floor just once in the last four meets to rest a sore ankle. In her only appearance, on floor during that stretch, she tied for first at the GymQuarters Invitational on Feb. 15 with a 9.90. Skinner is expected to compete on floor and in the all-around vs. UCLA …

Two-time NCAA champion, two-time NCAA all-around runner-up and 18-time All-American
MyKayla Skinner is one of the winningest gymnasts in Utah and Pac-12 history. Skinner holds the Utah record for all-around wins in a season (12 in 2017) and is second in career all-around wins (25, 2017-present). Her 97 total career wins ranks fourth in program history. Skinner won NCAA titles on floor in 2017 and vault in 2018. The Pac-12 all-around champion as a freshman and sophomore, Skinner owns Pac-12 records for most Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week awards in a season (7) and a career (15), as well as most Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards (6).

Utah leads the series with UCLA 54-33-1 and 27-2 in Salt Lake City … UCLA won three of four match-ups last year, with Utah's win coming in a dual meet in Pauley Pavilion.
