SALT LAKE CITY - With the season quickly approaching, the Utah golf team is looking to build off last year's season, which included the program's best finish at the Pac-12 Championships since joining the conference. They will be relying on an influx of young talent to help propel them to the top in 2019-2020 Season.
"We have a group of six under classmen that are ready to get out there and help us improve," head coach
Garrett Clegg said.
With only two returning underclassmen who competed in tournament play last year, many of the teams sophomores and freshmen are looking to make a name for themselves this season.

Axel Einarsson, a sophomore who competed in all 12 tournaments last season and finished in the top-50 in the Pac-12 Championship Tournament. Redshirt sophomore
Colton Tanner is looking to build off three tournament appearances from last seasons. Redshirt freshmen
Oscar Maxfield and
Dylan Chugg are also ready to fight for spots on the tournament team. True freshmen
Javier Barcos and
Jesper von Reedtz bring added excitement to the team after having exceptional junior careers overseas.
"We only lost one player from the 2018-2019 season," Clegg said. "He was an important player in our line-up so no question we will need our entire team to step up. Our team will need a lot of depth this year. I anticipate that most all of our team will get an opportunity to prove themselves somewhere during the season."
