A dynamic performer and fierce competitor, freshman Jillian Hoffman is ready to add depth for Utah on all events. Hoffman comes to the Utes as a three-time Junior Olympic National champion, claiming titles in the all-around and on bars and floor in the Junior E division in 2017. At the 2018 J.O. Nationals, Hoffman finished in second place on floor, while tabbing fifth place in the all-around.
On her way to becoming a nine-time regional champion, Hoffman topped off her regional championship meets by sweeping the competition at the 2019 Region 1 Championships, placing first on every event. Hoffman also comes to Utah as a 15-time SoCal state champion. At her last SoCal State Championship (Senior E), Hoffman placed first in the all-around and first on vault, bars, and floor, while finishing second overall on beam this past March.
Other top highlights include performances at the 2019 Nastia Liukin Cup and the 2013 National Elite Qualifier. At the Nastia Liukin Cup, Hoffman placed first on floor, second in the all-around, and third on vault. Back in 2013, Hoffman won titles in the all-around, on bars, and on floor at the National Elite Qualifier.
The Murrieta, Calif. native graduated from Vista Murrieta High School, where she was on the Silver Honor Roll. Hoffman trained at SCEGA Gymnastics prior to joining Utah this past summer. What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for the opportunities I have had with gymnastics because I would not be where I am today if I didn't have this sport.
