RANKED UTES
After an upset over No. 33 Denver and a win against Utah State this past weekend, the Utah women's tennis team jumped into the rankings and came in ranked No. 45 in the most recent ITA/Oracle poll. The duo of
Whitney Hekking and
Madison Tattini are ranked No. 16 from last week's poll and the duo continued their winning ways by picking up another pair of wins this past weekend against the top duos from Utah State and Denver. Hekking and Tattini have started the 2020 season with an unscathed slate of 10-0 to lead the Utes in doubles play.

DOMINANT IN DOUBLES
Strong pairs on all three courts, the Utah women's tennis team has won 10-of-11 doubles points this season. Hekking and Tattini have been leading the charge in the top spot with a 10-0 record, but Utah's other doubles teams have also been finding success early to help build a 1-0 lead going into singles.
Madeline Lamoreaux and
Emily Dush have gone 6-2 so far on court two all year, while
Anya Lamoreaux and
Lindsay Hung have paired together and posted a 3-1 record on court three.
Anya Lamoreaux saw action with
Katya Hersh in the beginning of the season and the pair also held a record of 3-1. In all, Utah's three doubles courts have compiled a 22-4 record this spring.

SCOUTING BYU
The BYU women's tennis team comes into the match with the Utes with an overall record of 6-2 and are coming off a 4-3 upset against No. 33 Denver. The Cougars are led by senior Kate Cusick Truman, who currently holds the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles for the Cougars. Truman and her partner are 11-3 overall in doubles to start the season. Utah has won 10-straight matches against BYU. Last season when the Utes and Cougars faced off, Utah pulled out a 4-3 victory over BYU, as Tattini, Hung and Hekking all chipped in wins for the Utes in singles.

SCOUTING BOISE STATE
The Boise State women's tennis team has posted an overall record of 8-2 so far this season. The Broncos are led by senior Lilian Poling, who plays in the top singles and doubles spot. Poling has won six-sttraight singles matches. Last season when these two teams met, the Utes downed Boise State 5-2 in Salt Lake City. Tattini, Dush, Hung and Hekking contributed singles wins.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah returned home for the first time since the opening day of the spring season for a pair of matches at the Eccles Tennis Center. The Utes made quick work over Utah State and downed the Aggies 4-1 to get momentum heading into the match against No. 33 Denver.

On Sunday, Utah battled in the tight match with the Pioneers and knocked off the ranked team 4-2 from solid efforts across the board. Utah's doubles teams would once again pull through to gain a 1-0 lead. After
Emily Dush won her match to build the Ute lead 2-0, Denver then picked up two singles wins to tie the match.
Whitney Hekking rolled in her third set to claim Utah's third point, while
Anya Lamoreaux clinched the match with a 6-3 third-set win to complete the upset for Utah.
