NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Utah golf program was honored today by the Golf Coaches Association of America after being named one of GCAA's 2019-20 Outstanding Team Academic Award winners.
The Utes were one of 250 schools who submitted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the GCAA All-Academic Team award. The Utes had a team record GPA of 3.610 with 10 student-athletes earning a spot on the Dean's List along with three on the Athletics Director Honor Roll.
Utah had a successful offseason in the classroom with Jordan Costello and Axel Einarsson were both named to the GCAA All-America Scholars team. It was Costello's second-career Golf All-America Scholar recognition and Einarsson's first.
Four Utes were also named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Spring Honor Roll with Einarsson, Peyton Hastings, Oscar Maxfield and Colton Tanner all earning a spot on the list.
