Utah Gymnastics Set For Red Rocks Preview Friday Night

Ute gymnasts to compete in front of a Huntsman Center crowd for the first time this year.
THIS WEEK
Utah gymnastics is set to return to the Jon M. Huntsman Center this Friday, Dec. 17, welcoming fans back in its home arena for the Red Rocks Preview at 7 p.m. MT. The Utes will showcase routines in front of a Huntsman Center crowd for the first time in 651 days at the annual intrasquad event. Admission to the event is free and all seating will be general admission. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. MT. The Red Rocks Preview will be live streamed and broadcast live on ESPN 700 radio.

FAN FACTS
Utah fans in attendance will see the 2022 Intro Video debuted before the meet and will have the opportunity to stay for an autograph session with the entire team after the meet concludes. There will be a Kids Zone between portals 12 and 13, which will include a face painter, ornament making, photo opportunities with life-sized cutouts, and more. There will also be 250 t-shirts given away in the concourse prior to the event. Seating for Red Rocks Preview will be general admission and there will be white balloons on designated lower bowl seats to indicate available season tickets seats. Fans looking to purchase season tickets can do so by visiting the ticket office before or during the event. Parking is also free to the public and fans attending the meet are encouraged to ride TRAX, which is free for all fans attending any Utah gymnastics event. Fans attending are strongly encouraged to wear masks while inside the Huntsman Center.

• Utah returns 23-of-24 routines from last year's third place NCAA Championship finishers. In 2021, Utah won its second-straight Pac-12 Regular Season Championship, fourth Pac-12 Championship, and an NCAA Regional title.
• Headlined by two-time national champion Maile O'Keefe, the Utes return five All-Americans from last year. O'Keefe heads into her junior season as a seven-time All-American and is joined by senior Cristal Isa (four-time All-American), fifth year senior Sydney Soloski (4x), junior Abby Paulson (2x) and fifth year senior Alexia Burch (1x).
• O'Keefe was the 2021 Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year, while Burch was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year. Utah had seven All-Pac-12 selections last season, which included all five All-Americans along with Jaedyn Rucker and Cammy Hall.
• Utah mixes in four freshmen to the 2022 roster, welcoming Olympic silver medalist Grace McCallum, Olympic bronze medalist Amelie Morgan, Olympic alternate Kara Eaker and uneven bars national champion Sage Thompson.Â
