MIDWAY – The Utah ski team won the RMISA Championship keeping them perfect on the season as they have won every meet this season.
The Nordic team raced the final two days at Soldier Hollow clinching the region championship by totaling 394 points leading the Utes to an 84-point win over Colorado.
"It feels great to win," Director of Skiing
Fredrik Landstedt said. "It was an incredible finish to the regular season for both the men and the women. They skied really well yesterday and today and have been doing an incredible job in tough conditions all year."
On the final day, the women's team got first and second in the 15K with
Novie McCabe earning her fifth win of the season and
Sydney Palmer-Leger coming in right behind her in second.
Mariah Bredal was the third Ute to come across the line finishing in fifth.
"Novie and Sydney have just been incredible as freshman," Landstedt said. "We knew they were fast, but they've really taken another step this year. Now, they're just dominating this series so hopefully they can keep this same shape at NCAAs. It'll be fun to head east and have some great races out there."
The other Utes weren't far behind as
Karianne Moe came in ninth,
Julia Richter finished in 13

Abby Jarzin came in 17

The men's side was equally as strong with
