BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Five Utah gymnasts earned WCGA Regular Season All-America awards on Thursday morning announced by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
Collecting three honors in her sophomore campaign that earned her the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year award was
Maile O'Keefe, who earned All-America honors in the all-around and on beam, along with second team All-America honors on the uneven bars. O'Keefe becomes a four-time regular season All-American after earning second-team honors on beam as a freshman last season.
O'Keefe finished the 2021 regular season ranked tied for first in the nation on beam with a 9.975 National Qualifying Score (NQS). She finished tied for sixth in the nation in the all-around with an NQS of 39.625, while her second team honors on the uneven bars came from a No. 11 finish in the nation. O'Keefe won 8-of-10 beam titles and did not score lower than a 9.875 all season on beam. She also totaled six all-around titles and five uneven bars victories.
Joining O'Keefe as an All-American on beam for the second-straight year was
Abby Paulson, who finished tied for sixth with an NQS of 9.95. Paulson scored a 9.90 or better on beam seven times this year, which includes five of the seven coming in as 9.95s. She posted three beam wins on the year.
Rounding out the first-team selections,
Sydney Soloski earned her second straight All-American honor on floor and recorded her first first-team selection. The Ute senior is now a three-time All-American on floor (2 regular season, 1 NCAA). Soloski finished tied for eighth in the nation with an NQS of 9.95 and scored a 9.90 or better on floor in all but the season opener. She totaled five floor victories in the regular season.

Alexia Burch, who earned second-team honors on vault. Burch, the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year, finished the regular season ranked tied for No. 10 on vault with a 9.931 NQS. She earned five vault titles this season and recorded a pair of 9.975s for a career-best mark as a senior.
Cristal Isa earned her second-consecutive second-team All-American selection on beam, finishing tied for No. 13 with an NQS of 9.938. She is now a three-time All-American after earning second-team honors on beam and the uneven bars last season. She finished the season scoring three 9.95s in four competitions and averaged a 9.870 this season.
The five Utah gymnasts and the entire team will look to take their regular season success and translate it to postseason play beginning next Friday, April 2 in the Salt Lake City NCAA Regional Second Round. The Utes will compete against No. 11 Arizona State, Boise State and Southern Utah at 1 p.m. MT at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
