MATCH WEEK
Utah Volleyball returns to Salt Lake City for its final home matches of the 2022 season, welcoming Oregon State and No. 14-ranked Oregon. The Utes open the week against the Oregon State Beavers this Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. MT. Utah will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX, as well as women in sports at the match against the Beavers.

Then, Utah closes out the home schedule for senior day on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. MT against Oregon. Utah will honor its fifth year seniors
Madelyn Robinson and
Megan Yett, as well as senior

SENIOR DAY SPOTLIGHT
Utah will honor three student-athletes –
Emily Smith,
Madelyn Robinson and
Megan Yett – this Sunday for senior day. Smith stepped into the starting setter position this season as a senior and has guided the team with 9.20 assists per set, while she has collected a team-best 12 double-doubles. Smith joins Yett, a fifth year senior, as Utah's top servers this season. Smith leads the team with 30 aces, while Yett has added 25 aces. Yett has played 127 career matches as a Ute and will move into the top-10 all-time this weekend. She could potentially move as high as third all-time in matches played at the conclusion of the regular season. Yett is just five service aces away from joining the 100 ace club as a Ute, and is 85 digs away from reaching 1,000 career digs. Robinson joined Utah for her junior season and has been a two-time All-Pac-12 selection, as well as AVCA All-Region player since joining the Utes. She has totaled 1,249 career kills (820 at Utah) and has increased her kills per set each collegiate season.

BURGESS BRINGING IT
Ute freshman
KJ Burgess has been a key part to Utah's offense and defense this season as she is leading the team in blocks per set, as well as hitting percentage. Dominating in the middle, Burgess is coming off a career-high 13 kills at Cal last weekend on .650 hitting. She also tied a career-high seven blocks against Stanford to lead the Utes and finished with 11 blocks over the weekend. Burgess leads all Pac-12 players with a .453 hitting percentage during Pac-12 play, and ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with a .393 hitting percentage over the entire season. The Alpine, Utah native leads all Pac-12 freshmen in hitting percentage and blocks per set, while she ranks in the top-four nationally among freshmen in both categories. In the last 12 matches, Burgess has hit above .429 in 10 outings to lead the offense. On the blocking front, Burgess has led the Utes or tied for the lead in blocks in six of the last seven matches.

RALLYING AROUND ROBINSON
Utah's All-Pac-12 and AVCA All-Region player from a year ago,
Madelyn Robinson, has led the Utes from the start of the season and is second in the Pac-12 with 4.42 kills per set. Robinson has recorded double-digit kills in all but one match to lead the offense. She has averaged 4.58 kills per set since the start of Pac-12 play, and posted a career-high 28 kills in just four sets against Oregon in Eugene. On the Oregon trip, Robinson averaged 6.57 kills per set on .354 hitting to lead the team against Oregon and Oregon State. Robinson earned her first Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award on Sept. 5, following her weekend at Purdue where she had two matches of 20-plus kills, which included a then-career high of 26 kills vs. Purdue. She has reached the 20-kill mark in four matches this season, while recording 15 or more kills in 12 outings.

SCOUTING OREGON STATE
Oregon State has dropped five consecutive matches heading into the weekend. The Utes swept the Beavers in Corvallis a few weeks ago after hitting .346 as a team, which was at that point the team's best percentage on the road this season. Oregon State collected conference wins over California (3-2) and Colorado (3-1) for its wins in Pac-12 play. The Beavers are fifth in the Pac-12 with 14.21 digs per set, while the offense is led by Mychael Vernon's 3.29 kills per set.

SCOUTING OREGON
Oregon heads into the weekend on a seven-match winning streak, most recently picking up a sweep over then No. 19-ranked Washington and a four-set win vs. Washington State. In Utah's first meeting against Oregon, the Ducks picked up a four-set win despite
Madelyn Robinson posting a career-best 28 kills. Oregon leads the Pac-12 and is fifth in the nation with 13.51 assists per set, while ranking second in the Pac-12 and eighth nationally with a .293 hitting percentage. Also at the top, Oregon is second in the Pac-12 and No. 11 in the nation with 14.26 kills per set. Hannah Pukis dishes out 11.02 assists per set, which is second in the conference and No. 16 in the nation, while Brooke Nuneviller and Mimi Colyer both are averaging above 4.00 kills per set.
