SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team will close out the indoor season this weekend in a familiar place as it returns to Dempsey Indoor Track for the Pac-12 Invitational in its final attempt to run qualifying times for the upcoming NCAA Indoor Track Championships (March 11-12).

OFF THE BLOCKS
As the indoor season winds down, Utah will send 18 competitors to this week's Pac-12 Invitational in hopes of posting qualifying times for the upcoming NCAA Championships. The Women of Utah will compete in nine different events across the two days of action.

After breaking three school records in three-consecutive weeks,
Josefine Eriksen turns her attention this week towards the 400m race where she currently sits at #50 on the qualifying list.
Simone Plourde currently stands at #43 in the mile while
Emily Venters checks in at #23 in the 5000m and #44 in the 3000m.
Cara Woolnough comes in at #41 in the 5000m.

Utah's DMR squad currently sits at #9 on the NCAA qualifying list after last week's record-breaking run of 10:59.24 at the Alex Wilson Invitational held on the campus of Notre Dame.

UP NEXT
Should anyone run a qualifying time in Seattle, they'll join the Utah DMR team in Birmingham, Ala., for the NCAA Indoor Championships held at the Birmingham CrossPlex March 11-12.
