MATCH WEEK
The Utes get set for their final week of action, first traveling to No. 2 Stanford for a midweek showdown with the Cardinal. The match against Stanford will be on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 3 p.m. MT on the Stanford Live Stream. Utah closes out the season hosting the Colorado Buffaloes on Friday, Nov. 24, with first serve from the Jon M. Huntsman Center at 3 p.m. MT. Lauren Jardine comes off a career-high night with 23 kills in the Utes' five-set match against Washington.

Kamryn Gibadlo has posted double-digit kills 16 times in her first 26 matches, putting down 14 kills on 39 swings against the Huskies.

• This is the first meeting between Utah and Stanford this season. Stanford has won four of the last six meetings. The Utes' last win over the Cardinal came in 2020 with a pair of 3-1 wins.Â
• Utah owns a 15-11 overall record against Colorado. Utah has lost three of the last four meetings with their last win coming in the second match of the series of the 2021 season. Utah is 11-2 all-time in matches played in Salt Lake City against the Buffaloes.
SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
Stanford is supported by the trio of Kendall Kipp, Elia Rubin and Caitie Baird averaging over three kills per set. Kipp has positioned herself amongst the conference leaders, sitting at third averaging 4.14 kills per set. The battle-tested Cardinals have taken down a number of top 25 opponents both in and out of conference, achieving wins over, #7 Texas, #15 Ohio State, #10 Minnesota and #2 Louisville. The Cardinals have won all but one game in conference play, falling to then #21 Arizona State from the road.
SCOUTING THE BUFFALOES
Colorado has put together a 15-14 record on the season, coming into the final weekend against the Utes. The Buffs split their most recent series, falling to Washington State in straight sets before sweeping Washington in three sets to end the weekend. Colorado has a pair of notable five-set conference wins, taking down Oregon State and unranked USC at the time. Avery Bolles leads Colorado with 46 service aces and ranks as one of the best in the Pac-12. Lexi Hadrych and Maya Tabron come into the weekend averaging over 3.5 kills per set for the Colorado attack. The Utah and Colorado series is split at 5-5 in their last 10 matchups, with the Buffaloes the owners of the last three wins.
TAKING A LOOK BACK
Earlier this season, Utah traveled to Colorado taking the Buffs to four sets, leading the match in kills 49 to 45. Utah finished the day with three Utes compiling double-digit kills including,
Lauren Jardine (14),
Kamryn Gibadlo (11) and
Kamry Bailey (10). In the Utes lone set victory, Utah posted a .455 hitting percentage, putting down 19 kills on 33 attempts with just four errors. Colorado was lethal from the service line posting 12 aces to Utah's four. The last time Utah traveled to Stanford,
Allie Olsen left as one of the leading attackers, posting eight kills on 15 swings without an error.
KJ Burgess and Olsen would record a team-high eight kills apiece, closing out the match hitting at a clip over .500.
Emily Smith and
Viktoria Wahlgren facilitated the Utah offense, combining for 31 of the Utes' 36 assists.

HIGH-POWERED OFFENSE
The Utah attack was firing on all cylinders over the weekend, recording their most kills in a Pac-12 weekend road series. The Utes combined for 95 kills between their matches against Arizona and Arizona State.
Kamryn Gibadlo contributed 23 kills to the total on the total, with 13 coming against the Wildcats before adding 10 more in the match against the Sun Devils.
Allie Olsen tallied 21 kills in the weekend slate with 13 kills of her own against Arizon, with just one error. Olsen added eight kills on 18 swings with just two errors against Arizona State.
Amelia Van Der Werff and
Lauren Jardine would combine for 30 kills in Utah's battle in the desert, putting down 15 kills each.
MAKING A CASE IN THE MIDDLE
Utah has received contributions from its middle blockers on a nightly basis.
Emrie Satuala and
Allie Olsen lead the team with 101 and 87 blocks, respectively. Satuala has exploded since the beginning of the season. The transfer didn't record a match of double-digit kills until the eighth match of the season but has since posted double-digit kills in seven of last 17 matches, including hitting over .250 in all but four matches during the stretch. Satuala holds a team-best 1.09 blocks per set. Olsen has posted 14 matches of .350 hitting or above, which includes seven at a .500 clip or better. Most recently, Olsen captured 19 kills on the road trip while hitting above .400 in each match. Former middle blocker
Amelia Van Der Werff has made the move to the right side and provided a spark on the outside. Van Der Werff totaled 15 kills with just three errors along with one block in Arizona. Van Der Werff tied her career-high of six digs against USC earlier this year. Olsen, Van Der Werff, and Satuala are the top three Utes in hitting percentage this season.Â
CAN'T SEE IT, CAN'T BEAT IT
The Utes put on a clinic against Arizona earlier this year, recording 17 service aces, the most in program history during the rally-scoring era. Utah was led by
Emily Smith and
Vanessa Ramirez as Smith collected a career-high six aces while Ramirez added a career-high five aces.
Viktoria Wahlgren leads the Utes with 35 aces and totaled a career-high 10 aces at UCLA. It marks the most aces by a Ute in a single match since 2018. She has posted nine matches with at least two aces this season to lead the team. The Utes posted 13 aces in their most recent slate of games, with nine in their match against Washington and four against Washington State on Saturday.
RAMIREZ RUNNING THE BACK ROW
Starting libero
Vanessa Ramirez is leading the Utah defense once again as she has done since day one in Salt Lake City. She is fifth in the Pac-12 with 3.66 digs per set and has recorded double-digit digs in all but four matches this season. The California native recorded a season-high 24 digs in just four sets against Weber State for her second match of 20-plus digs this season. Ramirez tallied 22 digs against NC State earlier this year and has 11 matches of 20 or more digs in her career. Last year, Ramirez led the team in digs in 27 of the 31 matches, while she finished third in the Pac-12 with 4.04 digs per set. She has led the team or tied for the lead in digs in all but one match this season so far. Ramirez tallied 23 digs against Washington and 13 against Washington State. She most recently eclipsed the 1,400 career-digs milestone and ranks fourth all-time in program history with 1,429 total career digs.
THE FRESHMAN FINISHER
Outside hitter,
Kamryn Gibadlo has shined so far in her first season with the Utes. The Cave Creek, Ariz., native leads the team with 16 matches of 10 or more kills during her true freshman season. She posted eight kills off the bench at UCLA on .412 hitting, while recording 11 kills at Colorado in her first conference match. Gibadlo dominated the floor vs. UC Santa Barbara during the Utah Classic, capturing 17 kills. The freshman has posted double-digit kills in 8 of the last 10 matches. In her most recent bid, Gibadlo finished with 14 kills versus Washington and eight against the Washington State.
SETTING IT UP
Sophomore setter
Viktoria Wahlgren has earned the start in every match this season and has recorded 9.21 assists per set. Wahlgren also recorded a career-best 51 assists with six digs and four blocks at Washington. This is the first time a Utah setter recorded over 50 assists in a match since Stef Jankiewicz racked up 50 assists versus Colorado on Nov. 27, 2021. Wahlgren has posted eight matches of 40 or more assists and has recorded two double-doubles this season. Against Washington, Wahlgren compiled 37 assists and added 24 assists against Washington State.Â
AUTOMATIC ALLIE
Starting middle blocker
Allie Olsen is coming off a season where she recorded a .363 hitting percentage, which ranked as the sixth-best percentage in a single season in program history. Olsen has hit above .500 in nine matches so far, while she has hit above .350 in half of the matches so far this season. At the Utah Classic, she earned All-Tournament Team honors after hitting at a blazing .419 clip through three matches. Olsen recorded a season-high .692 hitting percentage against Tennessee State from nine kills and no errors while hitting .538 against San Francisco. The middle blocker totaled 19 kills this past weekend and hit better than .400 in each match, adding four blocks to her tally.
