SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Eastern Washington heads into the Huntsman Center with a whole a new line-up after claiming the Big Sky Conference Regular Season title last season. Third-year head coach and defending Big Sky Coach of the Year, David Riley, lost nine players from last year's squad that went 23-11 overall and 16-2 in league action. The Eagles return just 40.1-percent of their offense from last season after losing their top-three scorers – who accounted for 49.5-percent of their scoring last season.
Â
Junior Ethan Price is the team's top returning scorer having averaged 9.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists last year. Casey Jones (7.6ppg, 5.7rpg), Cedric Coward (7.3ppg, 5.6rpg) and Dane Erikstrup (6.5ppg, 3.0rpg) are EWU's other top returning scorers from last season.
Â
Riley reloaded his roster with five freshmen and three transfers. Of the three transfers, Andre Mulibea and Jake Kyman have some familiar with Salt Lake City. Mulibea played alongside
Hunter Erickson last season at Salt Lake CC while Kyman played against the Utes during his three years at UCLA (2019-22).
