SAN FRANCISCO – Fifth year senior
Cristal Isa was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week following her Perfect 10 against Arizona last week on her senior night. The weekly award is Isa's first of the season and the fifth of her career.
Isa closed out her career in the Jon M. Huntsman Center with her first Perfect 10 this season on beam and the second of her career. She became the ninth gymnast in program history to score at least two 10.0s on beam in a career. The Henderson, Nev., native won the beam title against Arizona, while she finished in a tie for second place on bars with a 9.90 to help Utah remain undefeated at home.
Isa has scored a 9.90 or better on bars five consecutive meets, while she has scored a 9.90 or better on beam five of the past six competitions. She is ranked 14th in the nation on beam with a 9.925 National Qualifying Score, while she ranks 25th on bars with a 9.910 NQS. She has hit 18-18 routines this season for the Red Rocks and has three event titles.

Isa and the fourth-ranked Utah Gymnastics team compete at #13 Oregon State this Saturday, March 11, to close out the regular season. Utah and Oregon State compete at 3 p.m. MT at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore.
