Ten Red Rocks Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

Abby Paulson leads the group with her fourth selection.
SALT LAKE CITY – Ten Red Rocks were named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans for the 2022-23 academic year, highlighted by the fourth consecutive selection by fifth year senior Abby Paulson.
Including the 10 Utah gymnasts, there were 1,075 student-athletes who earned a 3.5 or higher grade point average this past academic year. Paulson led the group with her fourth award in four years, while Jaylene Gilstrap, Maile O'Keefe, and Alani Sabado collected their third-straight honor. Abby Brenner also earned the award in her sole season at Utah, marking three selections in her career overall.
Amelie Morgan earned the honor for the second year in a row, while Makenna Smith picked up the first academic award of her career following her freshman season.
Utah Gymnastics also placed 10 student-athletes on the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll this past May, while the team continued the program's streak of 56 consecutive semesters of a team GPA of a 3.0 or higher following the spring semester. Additionally, Utah earned a perfect NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score this past fall to continue the streak of perfect scores all 18 years since the GSR was introduced.
