MATCH WEEK
The Utes will continue their road stand, making their first trip to the Sunflower State as a member of the Big 12, taking on Kansas State on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. MT. Utah will close out the trip, traveling to Lawrence to take on #9 Kansas at 2 p.m. MT.
QUICK HITS
• The Utes come in at #21 in the most recent AVCA top 25 poll. Utah drops just one spot after falling in a five-set battle on the road at #24 BYU.
• Utah made its way back into the the top 25 in the week seven poll this season. This was the first time since coming in at 22nd in the preseason of the 2022 poll.
• As a team, Utah has averaged 14.7 kills per set with 13.5 assists per set. From the service line, the Utes are averaging 1.6 aces per set. On the defensive side of the net, Utah is posting 15.6 digs per set with 2.4 blocks per set.

Kamryn Gibadlo earned the first Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the program since joining the new conference and the first weekly award of her career.
• The Utes will travel to Manhattan, Kan., for the first time as a program, meeting up with the Wildcats for the second time ever. Utah defeated K-State in straight sets at the 2014 NCAA Tournament in their only other meeting.
• Utah faces Kansas for the fourth time ever, meeting the Jayhawks for the second time ever in Lawrence. The Utes won their last match in Lawrence, taking down the Jayhawks in straight sets, during the 1992 season.
• The Utes have won 10 of 18 matches by way of a 3-0 decision.
• Utah boasts a deep attack of four hitters averaging 2.0+ kills per set with a hitting percentage of .250 or better.

• Running the two setter system, Utah has seen great production out of newcomer
Isabelle Marco as she leads the Utes in assists per set at 6.05. Meanwhile, the veteran setter
Grace Hammond comes in at 5.26 assists per set.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
• Utah ranks among some of the best in the nation (2nd) and the Big 12 (1st) for kills per set, averaging 14.67.
• The Utah attack is top 25 in the country, coming in at 22nd, posting a .274 hitting percentage, the Utes rank 3rd in the Big 12.
• As one of the most efficient hitting teams in the nation, Utah ranks 5th in the nation in assists per set at 13.52 and 2nd in the Big 12.
• The Utah defense has held its opponents to a .159 hitting percentage, ranking them 20th in the nation and 2nd in the Big 12.
• At the net, the Utes average 2.40 blocks per set ranking 3rd in the Big 12.

Allie Olsen ranks among the top 25 in the nation for hitting percentage, coming in at 22nd and posting a .407 clip.
Emrie Satuala cracks the top 50 in hitting percentage, with a .375 marker and coming in at 43rd in the NCAA.
BAD, BAD, GIBADLO
• Gibadlo has led the Utah attack 13 times this season, including the last seven consecutive matches, putting down 13 kills against TCU and 11 kills against Baylor. Most recently, she came up one kill shy of matching her season and career-high in kills, finishing with 16 against BYU.
• She put away a career and season-high 17 kills in the Big 12 opener against Texas Tech and would have her most efficient game against Coppin State, hitting .533.
• On the season, Gibadlo has put away a team-high 214 total kills, leading the Utes with a 3.40 kills per set average. She also leads Utah from the service line with 22 aces.
SCOUTING KANSAS STATE
Utah vs. K-STATE: 1-0

Kansas State comes off a tough five-set loss on the road to in-state rival, Kansas. The Wildcats head into the weekend 6-10 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 action. Leading the Kansas State attack is Aliyah Carter, averaging 3.83 kills per set with 241 kills so far on the season. Meg Brown adds to the offensive effort for the Wildcats, posting 158 kills, and averaging 2.51 kills per set. Facilitating the K-State offense is Izzi Szulczewski, averaging over nine assists per set with 569 assists on the season. At the net, Brenna Schmidt leads the blocking effort with 68 blocks, including seven solo stops. Meg Brown has been getting it done on both sides of the net, posting 43 blocks with seven solo blocks. Kansas State has three Wildcats with double-digit service aces, including leader Liz Gregorski (18), Symone Sims (14), Ella Larkin (12).
SCOUTING KANSAS
Utah vs. KU: 1-2

The Kansas Jayhawks remain unbeaten in Big 12 action heading into the weekend, as the #9 Jayhawks host Iowa State on Wednesday before taking on #21 Utah on Saturday. Kansas utilizes a deep bench, boasting four attackers averaging over 2.5 kills per set with over 150 kills. Leading the Jayhawk attack are Toyosi Onabanjo (151/2.80), Ayah Elnady (2.66/154), Caroline Bien (2.60/151) and London Davis (2.59/150). Elnady (25) and Bien (18) lead the Kansas serving attack, posting double-digit aces. Onabanjo leads the Jayhawk defense with a team-high 69 blocks, averaging 1.28 blocks per set. On the receiving end, Raegan Burns has tallied a team-high 192 digs, averaging 3.31 digs per set. Caroline Bien and Camryn Turner have each recorded over 160 digs for the Jayhawk defense, averaging over 2.5 digs per set.
UP NEXT
Utah Volleyball will return home, haunting the Huntsman on Halloween night, hosting the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. MT. The Utes will close out the weekend, looking at another top 25 showdown with the Sun Devils from Arizona State on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. MT.
