Tucson, Ariz. – Utah Volleyball served up a big road win, taking down the Arizona Wildcats, 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 27-25). Finishing the match with 11 service aces, the Utes came up just two shy of matching their three-set record of 13 posted against New Mexico in 2006. After the first Big 12 road trip of the season, Utah improves to 13-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference competition.

Utah captured an early 5-3 lead, getting kills from
Allie Olsen,
Lauren Jardine and
Kamryn Gibadlo. The aces started to land for the Utes, as Utah extended its advantage out to 24-13, behind four from
Grace Hammond. The 10-point run by the Utes would get a variety of the offense involved with
Emrie Satuala,
Ashley West, Jardine and Gibadlo, as Utah dominated the first set 25-13.

The two sides traded points through the early going of the second set before the Utes found some separation at the 15-point mark. Getting back-to-back aces from
Claranne Fechter and then a third ace after the attack error by the Wildcats. Utah found themselves with a four-point advantage, leading 17-13. The Utes fended off a late Arizona comeback, as the Wildcats tallied four consecutive points to even the score at 23-23. The Utes brought the serve back to their side of the net, coming off the Gibadlo kill. Fechter secured the second set win for the Utes, putting away her fourth ace of the set, giving Utah the 25-23 win.

Looking for their eighth sweep of the season, the Utes captured an early 7-3 lead to get the third set started. The two sides traded points, as Arizona kept the match within reason during the race to 15, as Utah held a two-point advantage, 15-13. Continuing the back-and-forth battle, the Wildcats attack would not let up, as a kill from Jardine helped keep the Utah lead at two, 20-18. Arizona found a pair of two-point swings, bringing the score even at 20-20 and then 22-22. Playing another match past the 25-point marker, the Utes put together a three-point swing with kills coming from Olsen and Gibadlo to secure the 27-25 win.

Standout Stats
- Kamryn Gibadlo and Allie Olsen led the Utah attack with 11 kills each. Lauren Jardine finished with 10 kills.
- This is the fifth consecutive match that Gibadlo has tallied double-digit kills for the Utah attack. Olsen has put away double-digit kills for the Utes in three of the last four matches.
- Allie Olsen (11/.733), Kamry Bailey (7/.400), Emrie Satuala (8/.385) and Lauren Jardine (10/.375) each tallied more than five kills while hitting .350 or better.
- Claranne Fechter tallied a team-high 15 digs, leading the Utah serving effort with a season-high six aces.
- Grace Hammond matched her season-high ace total, finishing with four aces from the service line. Hammond was the second Ute to add double-digit digs, finishing with 10. Kamry Bailey finished as the third Ute with double-digit digs on the day, tallying 10.
- Isabelle Marco tallied 27 of Utah's 50 assits, with Hammond adding 14.

Utah Volleyball will return home to the Jon M. Huntsman Center, welcoming in a pair of new Big 12 opponents. The Utes will host TCU on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7:00 p.m. MT. Utah will wrap the weekend with a match against the Baylor Bears on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. MT.
