MEET WEEK
Fifth-ranked Utah Gymnastics begins postseason play at the Pac-12 Championships this Saturday, March 23, at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah. The Red Rocks will compete in the evening session at 6 p.m. MT. The evening session features the four top 25 teams including #2 Cal, #5 Utah, #11 UCLA, and #17 Oregon State.
Cal will begin on vault and Utah will begin on bars, while UCLA begins on floor and Oregon State starts on beam. The meet will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Jim Watson and Amanda Borden on the call. Utah's flagship radio ESPN 700 will also broadcast the meet live from the arena.
IN THE RANKINGS
Utah closes out the regular season as the No. 5 in the nation, after posting their best score of the season with a 198.300 in a tri-meet against Stanford and Utah State. The Utes currently own a National Qualifying Score of 197.840, heading into postseason competition. After jumping up to the No. 2 spot after the first week of the season, Utah has never dropped outside of the top five of the national rankings, while remaining in the top 20 in each event.
The Utah beam performance continues to be the Red Rocks strongest event, as the Utes rank fifth in the nation. Utah maintained the second spot in the polls in four consecutive weeks, and holding that ranking in 6 of the 11 weeks. The Utah bars lineup comes off their highest ranking of the season at No. 6, moving back to No. 7 for the third time this season. After posting their highest event score of the season on floor against Stanford (49.700), the Utah dance party came alive on floor once again with the Cardinal in town, matching their season-high in the event, as the Utes remain at No. 6 for the third consecutive week. The Utah vault lineup jumps up to No. 7 in the rankings, their highest spot since the second week of the season as the Red Rocks lineup rounds out all events to rank inside the top 10.

QUICK STICKS

Grace McCallum leads the team with 18 event wins on the season for the Red Rocks.Â
• After securing three event wins on the road at Arizona,
Grace McCallum returned to the Huntsman Center, nearly sweeping the podium with three more event wins (vault, bars, floor) and an all-around crown against Stanford and Utah State. McCallum's all-around score of 39.825 would be the fourth-highest in program and the highest all-around score posted by a Red Rock in 20 years.Â
• Utah eclipsed the 198-mark for the second time this season in their final regular season meet hosting #25 Stanford and Utah State, scoring a 198.300. This score is the fifth-highest in program history.Â
• Since announcing her return to international competition at the end of January, in pursuit of the 2024 Olympics in Paris,
Amelie Morgan will return to the Utah lineup for the Pac-12 Championships on March 23.

Maile O'Keefe cemented her legacy in the Utah Gymnastics record books moving into a share of the top spot for career 10.0 scores with Theresa Kulikowski at 14, after earning her third perfect 10.0 score on beam of the season against Oregon State.

Ella Zirbes continues to show consistency week after week on floor scoring 9.9+ in three of her four competitions and earning a 9.925 against Cal. She added a 9.900 on bars against the Bears for her fifth routine of 9.9 or better on the apparatus this season.

Abby Paulson brought the 14,000 fans of the Huntsman Center to tears during her final performance on beam during senior night, scoring her first 10.0 in the Huntsman and her first perfect 10.0 since freshmen year. It was her sixth win on the beam of the season, as she has scored a 9.9+ in 9 of 11 competitions.

• California wrapped up their regular season with wins over Stanford and Sacramento State, scoring a 197.925, bettering the Cardinal's mark of 197.675. The Hornets placed third at 195.400.
• Cal began the meet strongly, tying for second on the program's all-time list on vault with a team score of 49.500.
SCOUTING UCLA

2024 Week 11 Ranking: 11th
• Stanford recorded the second-best team score in program history against No. 2 California in the final Pac-12 edition of the Big Meet, falling to the Golden Bears, 198.550-197.975.
• Chloe Widner scored the first 10.0 by a Stanford gymnast since April 2018, anchoring the Cardinal beam lineup.
• Widner also added a new career-best score on floor with a mark of 9.975.
SCOUTING OREGON STATE

• Oregon State ended their regular season with wins over Boise State (196.750) and Utah State (195.950), scoring a 196.950.
• As the No. 7 bars lineup performed on Sunday, putting together a score of 49.525, using four seperate scores of 9.9-plus.
UP NEXT
Utah will await its NCAA Regional destination following the conference championship weekend. The Utes will be sent to the NCAA host sites of either Arkansas, California, Florida or Michigan. The 2024 NCAA Regional will run Wednesday, April 3, through Sunday, April 7.
