SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Men's Golf sits at No. 15 in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll after two strong performances to open the 2025-26 collegiate golf season.
The Utes started the year at No. 25 and moved up one spot to No. 24 after
taking third at the Wohali in Coalville, Utah, earlier this year. Utah showed continued improvement the following week
at the Tindall where they placed second, prompting their nine-spot rise in the poll.
Additionally, the Utah Golf team boasts two individual champions in
Davis Johnson (Wohali) and
Gabriel Palacios (Tindall) with Palacios taking a third-place finish at Wohali and
Sergio Jimenez placing third at the Tindall.
Both Palacios and Jimenez are currently competing at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore before the Utes head to North Carolina for the Williams Cup from Oct. 19-21.
Utah Golf will put a bow on their fall slate a few days later competing at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate from Oct. 24-26.
