Among the foes on the docket for coach
Amy Hogue's squad in 2026 will be nine teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2025, including two outfits that earned spots at the Women's College World Series. The Utes will travel to California, Arizona, Kansas, Florida and Texas as they try to earn a spot at the Big 12 Softball Tournament Presented by Allstate, which will be held from May 7 – 9, and the NCAA Tournament, which will open on May 15.
For the first time since 2015, Utah's first pitch will be thrown in Los Angeles, where, on Feb. 7, they'll open the campaign by taking on UCSB and UCLA, followed a day later by meetings with LMU and UC Riverside and the Utes will end the season's opening weekend with a matchup against Long Beach State.
Hogue's bunch will spend the season's second weekend in Santa Clara, Calif., where their first two opponents will be California and Santa Clara on Feb. 13. They'll square off with Illinois State and San Jose State a day later and then spend Feb. 15 tangling with UCSB again.
From Feb. 19 – 22, the Utes will make their annual trip to Cathedral City, Calif., the home of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. For the first time since 2018, Utah will play six times in Cathedral City, facing off against Bethune Cookman on day one and CSUN and Rutgers on day two. Utah will be back on the diamond for two more against LMU and Cal Baptist on Saturday before a rematch with UC Riverside closes out the team's time in The Golden State.
Utah will spend the weekend of Feb. 26 – 28 in St. George, Utah for five more tilts before making their first appearance at home on March 4 against Southern Utah. That date represents the program's earliest home opener since they played at home on March 3 in 2014.
Big 12 play will begin on March 6 with a visit to Arizona State for three games, followed by a quick break from conference play, during which time the Utes are planning on hosting the Abilene Christian Wildcats on March 11 and 12. Utah will then visit the Kansas Jayhawks from March 20 – 22 before entertaining Weber State on the 24th and Oklahoma State from the 27 – 29. After a road series at UCF and a visit to Weber State, the Utes will play 12 of their final 15 games at home, including series with Texas Tech and BYU and a May 1 – 3 regular season finale vs. Arizona.
