SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's soccer team announced the newest addition to its roster on Thursday in the person of defender Madison Encinas.
A native of La Mirada, Calif., Encinas spent her freshman season at Baylor after a four-year career at Rosary Academy in Fullerton. Her list of accomplishments in the prep ranks included three first-team All-Trinity League selections and she was also recognized with academic first honors. She gained experience in club play as well, playing for Slammers KB Koge.
Madison is the daughter of Anthony and Christina Encinas and has three siblings, Taylor, Troy and Maverick.
