Big 12 Schedule Unveiled for Runnin' Utes

The Big 12 Conference released its men’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season.
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference officially released its complete men's basketball schedule on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The schedule has all 16 teams starting and ending the season with one home and one away game in their first and last two games. In addition, each team will get at least one home weekend over every four-weekend stretch (Friday included).

Utah's conference schedule features five Saturday home fixtures – including in-state rival BYU on Saturday, Feb. 6, inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Meanwhile, the lone road swing this season will be in mid-February when it travels to Houston (Feb. 13) followed by a trip to Ft. Worth to face TCU on Feb. 16.

The conference home-opening weekend is slated for Wednesday, Jan. 6, against Kansas and with Cincinnati visiting on Saturday, Jan. 9, inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The Utes and Cougars will get an early match-up once again this season with Utah heading down to BYU for a Jan. 16 (Sat) contest inside the Marriott Center.

The Runnin' Utes will honor their seniors on Tuesday, March 2, against Texas Tech before hitting the road to close out the regular-season against a familiar foe in Colorado on Saturday, March 6, inside the CU Events Center.

The Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will once again take place at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., with opening round games slated for Tuesday, March 9, and the eventual conference champion getting crowned on Saturday, March 13.
