Personal: Son of Howard and Taina Pututau … one of eight children … one of three Pututaus on the team with Taniela (brother, redshirt freshman TE) and Tennessee (cousin, sophomore DT) ... brother, Hauati, was a defensive tackle with the Utes from 2016-21 and is now with the Green Bay Packers … signed in 2016 before leaving on a church mission … full name is Tofua Ofa-Ki-Nuusila Pututau (pronounced foo-uh poo-too-tao).
2021: Played in three games on the season.
- Made one tackle in his season debut vs. Washington State (Sept. 25).
- First career pass breakup came in the win over UCLA (Oct. 30).
2019: Played in one game, seeing action against Idaho State.
- One tackle went for a loss against Idaho State.

High School: Ninth best recruit in the state of Utah by Rivals in 2016 out of Cottonwood HS.
- Two-time honorable mention all-state and was first-team all-region as a senior.
- 60 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble, pass breakup, two fumble recoveries and a blocked punt his senior season.
- Also had 74 all-purpose yards (48 rushing, 26 receiving) in 2015.
- 90 tackles, six sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and an interception as a junior.
- 23 tackles as a sophomore included 13.5 sacks and 23 tackles with four sacks as a freshman.
