Uncle is Utes defensive coordinator and safeties coach Morgan Scalley, who of course played at the U from 2001-04 .. Grandfather, Ford "Bud" Scalley, was a running back with the Utes from 1960-62 under head coach Ray Nagel ... Served a church mission in Chicago from 2018-20 ... Enjoys skiing and golfing in his spare time ... Intends to study finance at the U.

- Led the state of Utah with 10 interceptions in 2017.
- Also contributed 36 tackles, seven passes defended and a blocked kick while a Wildcat.
- Awards in 2017 included Deseret News First Team All-State, Salt Lake All-Tribune Team 4A/5A/6A and Region 5 Defensive MVP
- Starred in track & field and rugby while in high school as well.
