2019: Did not compete due to injury … Utah won the NCAA Championship … USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team.
2018: Did not compete collegiately … finished 33rd in the giant slalom at the PyeongChang Olympics.
2017: Alternate for the NCAA Championships … three top 10 finishes … seventh in the giant slalom at the RMISA Championship and the RMISA qualifier … eighth in the giant slalom at the Montana State Invite … USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team … Utah won the NCAA Championship.
2016: Competed at the NCAA Championships, finishing 24th in the giant slalom and 31st in the slalom … first-team All-RMISA … season-best finish was third in the second RMISA giant slalom qualifier … fourth in the giant slalom at the RMISA Championships … five top-10 finishes … seventh in the giant slalom at the Utah Invitational.
2015: First-team All-RMISA ... alternate for the NCAA Championships ... earned his first career win in the first RMISA giant slalom qualifier ... two podium finishes, finishing second in the giant slalom at the Utah Invite ... four top-10 finishes ... competed in the giant slalom at the FIS World Ski Championships ... named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team.
Prior to Utah: Competed for Australia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics ... two-time competitor at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships (2012, 2014) ... finished second in the giant slalom in the 2014 Iceland National Championships and was second in the slalom at the Chile National Championships in 2012 ... attended Park City High School and graduated with honors.
Personal: Son of Michelle and Herwig Demschar ... father served as a coach for the Austrian National Ski Team, was the head coach for the U.S. women's alpine team, and also served in leadership roles for the Torino and Salt Lake Olympics ... brother Daniel preciously skied and sister Isabel ... born in Austria, his mother is Australian ... accounting major.
