Utes Play Heated Game for a Win

Salt Lake City -- The University of Utah women's soccer team is 4-1 following a heated 1-0 victory over Colorado. Both teams hit the double digits in fouls and four players received yellow cards (two players from each team). Sophomore Lorrie Tipton scored the game's only goal when she received a pass from Tara McNeil for the shot. This is Tipton's first goal of the season bringing her point tally to six as she also owns three assists. Overall, the Utes out shot the Buffalos 19-7, including eight shots on goal. Tawni Martineau claims another win making her season total 4-1, including three shutouts.
