SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's soccer team unveiled a list of new additions on Friday and it included six fresh faces set to put on Utah Red during the program's 2026 campaign.
Kaella Chin – Defender – Van Nuys, Calif. – Van Nuys High School–- UCLA – LASC in the UWS
During her time at UCLA,
Kaella Chin was part of an incredibly successful run for the school's club soccer team. In her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons, Chin helped the Bruins win club national championships. She also spent time playing club soccer for LA Surf DA, Strikers ECNL and LASC in the UWS. In high school, Chin lettered in basketball, track and field and volleyball.
Kaella is the daughter of Tim Chin and Diana Fuhrman and has two siblings, Aiden and Bryce. She is working on earning her public health graduate certification. Both of her parents competed as weightlifters, with her mom earning a spot at in the USAW Hall of Fame after capturing four National Championships and two Olympic Festival Gold Medals.
Brooke Gardner – Defender – Lehi, Utah – Skyridge High School –- UNLV – Utah Celtic
Gardner earned a shot at the collegiate level by putting together a prep career that saw her pick up first-team all-state and all-region honors, as well as a spot on the Deseret News HS Sports Awards Soccer Best 11. She started her college career at Salt Lake Community College, where she helped the Bruins reach the NJCAA Tournament semifinals. Her work on the pitch led to her being recognized as a First-Team All-American after she helped make SLCC one of the most difficult teams in the country to score on.
Gardner spent 2025 with UNLV, starting in all 19 matches for the Rebels. In a season in which her team played a total of 1710 minutes, Gardner was on the field for all but five, contributing to two shutouts and logging one assist.
Brooke is the daughter of Jeff and Lindsay Gardner.
Kennedy Fletcher – Midfielder/Defender – Portland, Oregon – Lincoln High School –- University of Arizona – Portland Thorns Academy
Fletcher spent her first two college seasons at Arizona, where she played in 24 matches and accumulated over 1000 minutes of playing time. She helped in the Wildcats record a clean sheet in 11 of those 24 contests, including their first three fixtures in 2025. She also contributed the game-winning goal in one of those affairs, scoring in the 89th minute of Arizona's victory over UC Irvine.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Fletcher arrived in Tucson after a high school career in which she was a two-time first-team all-state pick. She also earned her conference's player of the year award and a spot at the ECNL Phoenix National Selection game in 2022. That same year, she was named a United Soccer Coaches Girls Youth All-American. In club play, she was a U16, U17 and U18/19 ECNL All-Conference First-Team honoree, a four-year team captain and was chosen for the 2022 ECNL National Selection Game.
Kennedy is the daughter of Cheryl and Michael Fletcher and has one sibling, Jackson. She intends on majoring in Biology.
Maddie Stoddard – Midfielder – Cumming, Ga. – Denmark High School –- Auburn University – UFA
Stoddard joins the Utes after two years at Auburn where she played in 11 matches and, in 2024, helped the Tigers reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She was also a member of the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Before her time as Tiger, Stoddard had a decorated career in both the prep and club ranks. At Denmark High School, she was an all-state and Southeast All-American selection in 2023 while helping lead her squad to a state championship. She was a three-time all-county and all-region choice as well. In club play, she also garnered all-conference recognition and earned spots at the US Soccer U16 YNT Regional Identification Center and the 2021 US Soccer U-16 Virtual Camp.
Maddie is the daughter of Tom and Shelley Stoddard and has three siblings, Tyler, Hailey and Jaxon. She's pursuing a degree in Geological Engineering.
Anna Solomon – Goalkeeper – Lafayette, Calif. – Campolindo High School – Oregon –- Lamorinda SC
Solomon joins the Utes after four seasons at the University of Oregon, where she appeared in six matches. Her best performance as a Duck came in 2024, when she recorded a clean sheet against Michigan State.
Prior to her time in Eugene, Solomon helped Lamorinda SC take home consecutive state titles and was an all-district selection for Campolindo High School, helping them with their league with a 15-3-5 record.
Anna is the daughter of Katie Komer and Craig Solomon. She is pursuing her MBA.
Nevaeh Peregrina – Midfielder – Ogden, Utah – Ogden High School – Portland –- La Roca FC
Peregrina started her collegiate career with two seasons in Portland, where she played in 16 matches. In 2025, she made 11 starts and logged two assists for a Pilots team that picked up 10 wins and posted a 7-1-3 conference record.
A Utah native, Peregrina spent four years on the varsity squad at Ogden High School and achieved all-state status in each of those seasons. Her list of accolades includes the Ms. Utah Soccer Deseret News and the Standard Examiner Player of the Year awards in 2023, the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year Honor and a spot on the 2022 ECNL First-Team during her time with La Roca FC. She also received an invite to the U16 National Team Invitational in Sweden.
Nevaeh is the daughter of Ricki and Silvester Peregrina.
