SAN DIEGO -The San Diego State women's volleyball team lost its last home match of the season today in Peterson Gym to Utah three-games to none. The Utes swept the match 15-5, 15-11, 15-8 to improve their record to 15-8 overall and 5-5 in the WAC's Pacific Division. The SDSU loss dropped its record to 5-20 overall and 2-10 in conference play.
Sophomore (OH) Kalani Tonga led the Utes with a match-high 17 kills and 10 digs, while sophomore Jen Snow came off the bench and tallied seven kills, four digs and hit .455 for the match. Senior (OH) Michaela Paz led the Aztecs with 11 kills and six digs in her final match atop Montezuma Mesa.
The Aztecs had an opportunity to even the match at one game apiece when they led 10-1 in the second game, but Utah rallied back to win the game 15-11.
SDSU will take on cross-town rival and 17th-ranked University of San Diego on November 18th at USD Sports Center before closing out the season on the road at Fresno State on November 20th and San Jose State on November 21st.
