PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Utes lost to seventh ranked Stanford, 3-0 (15-1, 18-16, 15-12) at the Mountain West/Pac 10 Challenge in Palo Alto, Calif. Utah moves to 8-4 overall, 0-0 in the MWC. Stanford improves to 7-1 overall.
Utah was paced by sophomores McKelle Stilson and Adrianne Bradley. Stilson totaled 10 kills for a .231 hitting percentage and three total blocks. Bradley posted 10 kills and hit .316. Graciela Torres-Lopez totaled 32 assists. As a team, the Utes hit .136 in the match.
Stanford was led by Kerri Walsh and Sarah Clark, both of whom hit over .240, with 11 kills and 10 kills in the match. Walsh added 15 digs and three total blocks. Teammate Lindsay Kagawa totaled 37 assists in the match. Stanford posted a .221 hitting percentage.
