Utes Shut Down Wright State In Three Games

LUBBOCK, Texas - The University of Utah's women's volleyball team shut down Wright State in three games (15-4, 15-12, 15-9). Utah improves to 2-1 overall, 0-0 in the Mountain West. Wright State drops to 0-2 overall.
Utah posted a .248 hitting percentage in the match. Sophomore middle blocker McKelle Stilson continues to lead Utah 's offense as she totaled 11 kills for a .450 hitting percentage. Freshman Katrena Ellett posted 10 kills for a .412 hitting percentage. Senior setter Graciela Torres totaled 37 assists and 14 digs. Torres posted a .571 hitting percentage in the match. Sophomore transfer Lenka Urbanova added 10 digs to the Utes' cause.
The Utes shutdown the Raiders' offense in all three games. Wright State managed to post a .008 hitting percentage in the match.
Utah will play North Carolina State at 1:00 p.m., and its host Texas Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 4.
