SALT LAKE CITY - The 1999 Utah women's soccer team was honored with the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for maintaining a cumulative team GPA of 3.28, ranking 12th nationally. The Utes finished with a 13-7 season record and a 5-1 Mountain West Conference mark. The conference co-champions finished 40th of 259 teams in the NCAA Women's Division I Jones Rating.
Receiving individual honors, freshman goalkeeper Courtney Hills was named to the NSCAA West Region third team and to the SoccerBuzz all-West third and freshman teams. Hills was also distinguished as freshman All-American honorable mention. In the MWC, Hills was named to the all-conference first team and the all-freshman team.
Senior forward Staci Burt was named to the NSCAA West Region second team. Burt finished her career as Utah's leading scorer. Burt was also honored as Mountain West all-conference first team and all-tournament team pick.
Sophomore Amy Kofoed was named to the SoccerBuzz all-West third team and the Mountain West all-conference first team. Freshman Katie Tate was named to the all-West freshman team and to the MWC all-tournament team. Defender Lesa Zollinger was named to the all-conference second team.
