Kim Turner, Utah volleyball's newest recruit, was featured in the May edition of Volleyball Magazine . Turner was selected as one of the "Fab 50," top recruits in the country. Head Coach Beth Launiere received a National Letter of Intent from Turner on Feb. 2, 2000.
Turner is a 6-2 middle blocker from Chandler, Arizona, where she was a 1999 first-team all-region and all-state selection. Turner was listed in the American Volleyball Report as one of the "Top 75 Recruits." She was Phoenix's Fox News Athlete of the Week and a Scholar-Athlete award recipient. Turner played for Arizona East Valley team that placed second at the USA Junior National Volleyball Championships in 1999. She narrowed her choice of schools down to Utah and Arizona State before signing with the U.
"Kim has established herself as one of the top recruits in the country and we're really happy to have her in our program," said Launiere.
