SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's soccer team held their own against the South African national team with a 0-0 tie today. The Utes competed against the foreigners as part of a rigorous spring training program.
Utah out shot South Africa 21 to 17 in the contest. The Ute defense held strong allowing only one shot-on-goal in the first half. Goalkeeper Courtney Hills made seven saves in the game.
The game rounds out South Africa's competition schedule in the U.S.
