Gurr Named MWC Soccer Player of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY - Sophomore forward Shauna Gurr has been named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for her two-goal performance last weekend. Gurr scored the final goal in a 6-0 rout over Nevada last Friday, then followed it up with a 0-0 tie-breaking goal in a 2-1 upset victory against San Diego, the No. 10 team in the West region. Gurr's performance has helped the Utes to a three-game win streak. This is Gurr's second career player of the week honor, as she won the award once last season.
