ATHENS, GA - Junior forward Amy Kofoed scored her second game-winning goal of the weekend, this one coming in a 3-2 overtime win at Georgia, to extend the Utah women's soccer (6-3-1) win streak to five games. Kofoed put the Utes out front in the 49th minute on an unassisted goal. Georgia's Carolyn Cayard scored on consecutive penalty kicks in the 80th and 83rd minutes to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 advantage. With 1:08 remaining in the game, sophomore Katie Tate rebounded a shot from freshman Amber Brower to force the extra period. Kofoed put the ball past Nicole Williams, the Southeastern Conference's career shutout leader, at 109:13 to give Utah its first OT win in four games this season. Utah out shot Georgia 16-11 and had nine corner kick attempts to the Bulldogs zero. Ute goalkeeper Courtney Hills had three saves to earn the win. "We were able to beat a top-25 team today," said Coach Amy Winslow. "This was a big psychological boost for us. It was our first overtime win and first come-from-behind win." Utah brings its five-game streak home against Boise State Thursday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m.
