"Jackson, Goldsberry and Kiser have great chances to earn all-conference honors. Slade, Erianne Allen and Shanae Nixon will finish in the top-eight for the pentathlon. Anyone of them could finish in the top-three with a great performance. Tracy Hamblin will score high for us in the 400-meter dash and Charity Catmull will place high in the 5,000-meter run," said Coach Mike Jones.
MEN'S PREVIEW: Jameson will compete in the 3,000-meter run for the first time since Jan. 13, where he won in 8:24.87. Jameson seeks an NCAA provisional qualifying spot in the 3,000-meter run to add to his provisional spots in the one-mile run and 5,000-meters run.
"Teren runs the 3,000-meters well and has an excellent chance at winning the MWC Championship. B.J. Christenson is shooting for a top-three finish in the 5,000-meter run and has the ability to do so,"said Coach Jones.
UP NEXT FOR THE UTES: The NCAA Championships are Mar. 8-10 in Fayetteville, Ark for national qualifiers.
